You truly never know who will be in attendance for NFL training camps, and one guest at the Las Vegas Raiders' training camp may have sparked a massive rumor.

The Raiders' former Bay Area rival is currently in an ongoing contract situation with star receiver Brandon Aiyuk. It's a tale as old as time, especially at the receiver position, as Aiyuk wants significantly more money and has essentially been attempting to force his way into a big payday or onto a new team via trade. Teams like the Washington Commanders, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots have all at one point been linked to the San Francisco 49ers receiver, and on Wednesday the Raiders may have entered the discussion.

With an NFL Network crew live at the Raiders' training camp, Aiyuk's agent Ryan Williams was mentioned as being in attendance, and then quickly panned to by the camera. Insider Mike Garafolo jokingly tried to get an update from Williams, who awkwardly swayed in the background.

Garafolo did provide somewhat of an update saying that there still has yet to be a deal, but that he does think one is close.

While Aiyuk is Williams' high-profile client, and his presence has led to some believing that the Raiders are now throwing their hat in the ring it is worth noting that Williams is the agent of Thayer Munford whose deal is up after the 2025 season.

A trade for another star receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders doesn't make too much sense considering they have a quarterback issue, but pairing Aiyuk with Davante Adams would certainly make for an elite combination. En route to helping lead the 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance in 2023, Aiyuk racked up 75 catches for a career-high 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns this past season.
