Ottawa Motorcyclist Injured In Hit-And-Run
A crash that injured a motorcyclist in Ottawa has police looking for the other driver involved. Forty-one-year-old Robert Matlock of Ottawa was riding his Harley-Davidson Friday afternoon on East Dayton Road when he says a vehicle pulled out in front of him. In attempting to avoid the vehicle, Matlock swerved and ended up in a ditch. His bike had to be towed and he was taken by ambulance to OSF in Ottawa.

With half of the year now in the books, the Spring Valley Fire Department is on pace for handling a record number of calls. According to numbers released on the fire department's Facebook page, they responded to 247 calls of service thru June, which is a record.
