As violence continues to flood the streets of Chicago, incidents on Chicago Transit Authority are rising as well after a man was shot on a bus on Sunday.

According to ABC 7 News, an argument transpired between the victim and another passenger on a bus in Lawndale's 700 block of South Pulaski. Chicago police said multiple shots were fired around 12:15 a.m., and the victim, a 31-year-old man, was struck in the right leg. The CTA bus driver halted the bus after hearing the gunshots, and the offender exited the bus and fled north.

The 31-year-old man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition. No other passengers were hurt, and no one is in custody.

CTA has been dealing with a lot of violent incidents lately. A CTA worker shot a man on the Redline platform after an argument a few weeks ago. Two men got into a verbal altercation around 2 a.m. One of the men began to walk away when the other-- a CTA customer assistant-- pursued him, pulled out a gun, and shot the victim three times, police told FOX 32 Chicago.

The worker is currently in police custody, and charges are pending. He was also terminated for having a weapon at work. CTA released a statement on the incident, "We can confirm that the individual involved in [Saturday's] shooting at the 95th/ Dan Ryan terminal was a CTA employee, working as a customer assistant," CTA said in a statement on Saturday afternoon. "Based on our own investigation, we can also confirm that this employee was in violation of several CTA workforce rules, including one that expressly prohibits the possession of a firearm."
