    Man Critically Injured in Police Involved Shooting, 10 People Shot in 2 Days in Chicago

    After being shot by police in the Pullman neighborhood Friday evening, a man is in critical condition.

    According to NBC Chicago, the incident happened near East 113th Street and South Langley Avenue. At around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man with a gun. As they arrived, the suspect aimed his weapon at officers, and at least one officer shot the individual, authorities said.

    Police recovered two guns and a knife at the scene, and camera footage was reviewed to see what led to the shooting. NBC reported that an adult male suspect was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

    Ten people were wounded in Chicago in two days. It was a violent Friday in Chicago as six others were injured in shootings. According to Chicago Suntimes, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the back after speaking to another male in the 900 block of East 78th Street, and he was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition. A few hours earlier, a 68-year-old woman was wounded in the 4500 block of North Central Park Avenue. The victim was struck in the arm and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition.

    On Thursday, a 16-year-old girl was among four people wounded in shootings. The girl was walking in the 2500 block of North Lockwood Avenue in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood when someone fired shots, striking her in the arm and stomach, Chicago Suntimes reported. She was taken to Community First Medical Center in good condition.
