A bohemian brand of Urban Outfitters, Free People opened this location in May of 2013. Despite that solid track record of success, the store has ultimately succumbed to the moribund Montgomery County economy, along with MoCo's high taxes and ever-shrinking business profit margins. Not only do I find no reports of Free People stores closing elsewhere in recent times, but Urban Outfitters is actually expanding the brand by opening additional Free People locations this year.

One dead in double shooting at Mondawmin Metro Station
BALTIMORE - One person died and another was injured in a shooting Sunday evening at the Mondawmin Metro Station in West Baltimore.Two people were found at the metro station at the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue with gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital where one died.According to the Maryland Transit Administration, bus service was temporarily canceled because of the police investigation.
