Rain affects accessibility to Jones County landfill

LAUREL, Miss. ( WHLT ) – Recent rain has affected the accessibility to the Randy Danny landfill in Jones County.

Officials with the City of Laurel said the inaccessibility means that city workers will be unable to pickup debris for the remainder of the week. This includes discarded furniture, appliances and construction materials.

The city will be able to continue to pick up leaves and limbs, and WastePro Garbage Services will run their regular routes throughout the week to collect household garbage.
