LAURINBURG, N.C. (WNCN) — Scotland County Sheriff’s Office said they found the suspect who stole $40,000 worth of equipment from a Smithfield Farms location in Laurinburg.

On Monday, deputies said Smithfield Farms reported their equipment was stolen from one of their locations on McGirt’s Bridge Road in Laurinburg. Then on Wednesday, they received a tip that the stolen property was located at a residence on Chav-an Drive in Maxton.
