Zeke Mayo eager to finish his collegiate career in Lawrence
Zeke Mayo is going to live his dream during the 2024-25 season. A Lawrence native, Mayo grew up as a big Kansas fan. He went to Lawrence High School and graduated as a part of the 2021 class. He signed with South Dakota State, picking the Jackrabbits over offers from other mid-major and low major schools. But over the next three years, Mayo took continuous steps forward and ended up being named the Summit League Player of the Year after his junior season.

When Rakease Passmore moved into McCarthy Hall at KU, it wasn't the first time he moved away from him. After his sophomore year of high school, Passmore moved to Combine Academy from his hometown of Palatka in north central Florida. The change of school saw Passmore move up to Lincolnton, North Carolina, which is just an hour outside of Charlotte.
