Stress. We all have it, but the past few years have really ramped it up. From a pandemic to inflation, natural disasters, and crime rates, it's been a wild ride. But there's some good news to come out of our corner of the country. Two of our local gems, Nashua, New Hampshire, and Portland, Maine, are living the good life, and just ranked in the top 10 least-stressed cities in the US.
Salisbury To Test Road Restrictions To Reduce Beach Traffic
SALISBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The town of Salisbury is trying out a road restriction plan in an effort to reduce traffic and gridlocks. Starting 9 a.m. on July 20 and 21, road access to Cable Avenue from Beach Road will be restricted to only residents and their guests. A sign showing “No Right Turn,” “No Beach Parking,” and “Resident Access Only" will be on sight.
Gas Restoration Contract Areas 3-4-5 Construction Update: Woodbridge Road
Starting next week July 22, 2024, the Town’s contractor PJ Albert will be starting with the gas restoration activities on Woodbridge Road in the Contract 3-4-5 areas. Work will include the reclamation of the roadway surface, regrading of the roadway subgrade, adjustment of the castings, and installation of asphalt binder.

Planning, Zoning Recommend Cannabis Overlay Subcommittee
The Planning Board, Land Use Committee, and Zoning Bylaw Review Committee offered their initial opinions last night on the proposal to create a retail marijuana overlay in Burlington, and a common theme was the recommendation to establish a cannabis overlay subcommittee. This group would take on the work of ensuring the proposed general and zoning bylaws accounted for all the considerations brought up at last night’s meeting and would create their own overlay rather than using the one proposed by Town Meeting Member Alex Rutfield on behalf of community proponent Will Seagaard.

Board of Selectmen Approve Hiring of New Town Clerk
