Our Top Football Game of the Year is the Vandals’ 34 to 22 win at Lawrenceville in Round 1 of the Playoffs. The Vandals jumped out to a 14 to 0 lead with 5:20 remaining in the first half. But, Lawrenceville would score twice in the next 4:09 including two point conversions to take a 16 to 14 lead at halftime. The game would remain that way until the Vandals got a TD with 2:36 remaining in the 3rd quarter to regain the lead at 20 to 16. After extending the lead to 27 to 16, Kannon Wollerman had an Interception/Pick 6 to extend the Vandals lead to 34 to 16 and they would go on to win, 34 to 22. This was the Vandals 6th playoff win in the past 7 seasons.
Robinson Takes Undefeated Record To District 1 Championships Series Against Olney Tonight
Robinson and Olney will play today for the District 1 Tournament with Robinson currently in the driver’s seat at 3-0 in tournament action after last night. In the opener, Robinson handed Olney their first loss in the semifinal 7-1. Elliott Jansen won his 2nd game of the tournament, going the distance with 13 strikeouts.
