Authorities identified the driver of the all-terrain vehicle who was killed in a rollover that also injured four children July 11 on private lands in Lake County.

Ivan Rodriguez Vega, 18, of Lawton, Michigan, was driving a Polaris RZR with four passengers on private property on Schwartz Lane in Lower Lake.

Rodriguez was killed and the children injured when the ATV flipped onto its left side about 9:30 p.m., according to a CHP-Clear Lake news release.

Rodriguez Vega died at the crash site.

Two passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital while the other two were airlifted to a Sacramento hospital with major injuries.

Lake County CHP did not have updates on the status of the wounded Wednesday.

No one was wearing helmets or seat belts, CHP said.

CHP-Clear Lake personnel are investigating the crash, including the speed the ATV was traveling when it overturned. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors.
