Newton Police Department to Celebrate National Night Out with Free Activities, Entertainment and Food
NEWTON, NJ – The community is invited to join the Newton Police Department for the annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6 from 5 until 8 p.m. Residents are invited to Memory Park for the event where there will be live music by Black Tie Groove, free hot dogs, ice cream and popcorn.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Police, Fire and EMS vehicles will be on display and there will be bicycle and car seat safety demonstrations. The festivities will include an inflatable obstacle course, a face painter and balloon artist. Play corn hole and other games. There will be give-aways and more. Cicalese enjoying first year as Port Jervis Mayor
PORT JERVIS — Dominic Cicalese moved from South Ozone Park, Queens to Port Jervis at the age of three after his father was named the city’s new postmaster. When Cicalese considered a run for Mayor of Port Jervis, he reflected on his upbringing in this old railroad town wedged between a river (Delaware) and a mountain (Greenville).
