A water main break is causing delays on Frederick Road in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, July 17. Montgomery County Police tweeted the following at 3:52pm: “TRAFFIC ADVISORY – Professional Drive is closed at N. Frederick Ave. due to a water main break. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.”

A cat awakened residents of a two-story townhome in Gaithersburg early Sunday, alerting them of a fire that had started in the first-floor kitchen, according to authorities.
