Braves prepared to begin postseason play with best of 3 series against Gaylord

After closing out the regular season with a record of 7-5, the Le Sueur Braves town team earned the No. 2 seed in the River Valley League West Class C playoffs as they vie for one of the four qualifying spots in the Region 6C tournament. As a result, the Braves will take on Gaylord in a best of three series that begins Wednesday, July 24.

The Braves and Islanders will play the series opener Wednesday night, in Le Sueur with first-pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. while game two will be at Gaylord Friday, July 26, also starting at 7:30 p.m. If a third game is needed to determine a series winner, it will be played Sunday, July 28 in Le Sueur with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.

The series victor will then join the winning teams from the other two series, as well as the top-seeded and automatic qualifying Jordan, in the Region 6C tournament which will take place between Aug. 3-10.

The other matchups see St. Peter (No. 3 seed) face Arlington (No. 6) while Belle Plaine (No. 4) takes on St. Clair (No. 5).
