Homicide investigation ongoing

EAU CLAIRE — Police are investigating a homicide from last week.

Eau Claire police responded to the 400 block of Gilbert Avenue at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a welfare check. They found the body of Michelle Jenkins, 56. She had been shot multiple times.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, including a full autopsy. They are interviewing people who knew Jenkins, but have not announced any suspects in the case.
