KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before noon Thursday in Kansas City. A Ford Focus was northbound on Troost near 51st Street at a high rate of speed. The car struck a pedestrian operating an HYB15 motorized scooter, crossing Troost from east to west, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Students injured in Kansas school bus crash into tree
WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Two students were injured in a school bus accident just after 3:30p.m. Wednesday in Wyandotte County. According to Edwardsville Police Chief Rance Quinn, the school bus was negotiating a curve in the road in the area of 700 Beach Street, turning right. The bus left the road and struck a tree in a yard. The tree damaged several windows on the bus.
