Aritzia , a popular women’s clothing brand based in Canada, is opening its first Kansas City area store this fall.

The brand — selling workwear, activewear, denim, formal dresses and more — is moving into Leawood’s Town Center Crossing at 5000 W. 119th St., an Aritzia spokesperson told The Star.

Outdoor gear and clothing company L.L. Bean previously occupied the space until it closed earlier this year.

Yeti, which sells drinkware and outdoor goods, recently opened next door at 4521 W. 119th St., Space A.

Founded in 1984, Aritzia has dozens of stores across the country, including in Texas, Colorado, Illinois and Minnesota. The self-described “everyday luxury” brand also sells a line of “sweatfleece” hoodies and loungewear.

Its clothes are also sold online at aritzia.com .

The location will be Kansas’ first. It does not have any in Missouri.
