Stoops 'feels as good as I ever have' going into his 12th season at Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (KT) — Mark Stoops is anxious for the season to begin as talking season nears completion. “I can tell you, heading into this 12th year, I feel as good as I ever have, and I know you've probably heard me say that before, but it's true," Stoops said at UK’s annual Lexington Kickoff Luncheon at the Longship Club at Kroger Field. "I absolutely love our football team. I love our staff. I feel like it's the best blend since I've been here. I really do."
4 face charges after McCracken County drug investigations
MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Four people face charges after drug investigations in McCracken County. McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives stopped a vehicle on South 6th Street in Paducah on July 16. During the roadside investigation detectives say they found small quantities of methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Three Charged With Drug Possession In Trigg County
Two women and one man were charged with drug possession after they were found sleeping in a vehicle on Main Street in Cadiz Saturday morning. Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say 26-year-old Sarah Dunn of Gracey was found sleeping in the driver seat and gave law enforcement consent to search the vehicle.

One main low-pressure system stalls out over the Central Plains, keeping the severe threat reaching from the Canadian border and down into the southeast. On Tuesday, the severe threat will continue as the front lingers with an upgraded enhanced risk (level 3 out of 5). Hot temps have provided plenty of instability to help fuel storms that develop at any point in the day. All severe modes will be possible and any storms that develop can bring damaging winds, large hail, and even tornadoes (see above). More severe storms are expected to mix in later in the day.

A Louisville-area paramedic died while swimming at Barren River Lake on Monday afternoon. The man was identified as 35 year-old Christian Smith, from Louisville.
