Person killed on LA Highway 1192 identified
AVOYLLES PARISH, La. (WNTZ) – On July 22, 2024, The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) responded to a report of a deceased person at a residence on LA Highway 1192 in Marksville, La. The deceased subject was later identified as Gary P. Normand of Marksville. Further investigation revealed suspicious circumstances. The ongoing death investigation is being conducted by the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Avoyelles Parish Coroner’s Office.
Police investigate shooting after victim admitted to hospital
ALEXANDRIA, La. (WNTZ) – On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 10:50 pm the Alexandria Police Department responded to a local hospital in reference to a person that had been shot. The shooting took place in the area of Levin Street and Essie Street. The shooting victim sustained moderate injuries.
