Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star running back Ousmane Kromah has Georgia in his ‘top two’ in his recruitment at the moment.

The No. 104 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Rankings is down to four schools. Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida State are the four schools still in consideration for Kromah. He loves the family-oriented culture at each of those four schools.

“They’re all family-oriented,” Kromah said. “It’s like being around your brothers literally. The fact that I’m watching people get mad at each other, they argue and then the next second they’re back good. That’s brotherhood. It shows that in the fire, they’re going to have what they need and not just break apart.”

Georgia was the program that got the four-star running back on campus most recently. Kromah took his official visit to Georgia on June 21.

That visit was a peek into being a Georgia Bulldog and playing alongside the people who play at Georgia. Kromah felt comfortable with the other players on campus already.

“Their players are super tight-knit, they don’t let each other do anything stupid,” Kromah said. “If something happens they make sure nothing happens. They were checking up on everybody and making sure everyone was okay when I was down there. Even hanging out with them, you can tell they actually like each other. They’re not just teammates. That’s always a good thing to see. They made me feel at home. We were laughing and joking and they barely knew me. They didn’t know me from a can of paint but they were out there trying to make sure I’m good. We were playing the video game, we watched the Tank Davis fight and stuff like that shows that we can be close. They’re close and that’s why they’re winning.”

Ousmane Kromah is wanted in Athens

Kromah has been open about not feeling the love from the in-state program at some points throughout his recruitment.

That hasn’t been the case since Josh Crawford took over as Georgia’s running back coach. Crawford has been spear heading the Bulldogs’ recent surge up the board in Kromah’s recruitment.

Crawford coached Kromah’s older brother at Lee County High School. The younger Kromah wasn’t familiar with Crawford until recently.

Crawford has made it clear that Kromah is a priority to him. That has helped Georgia as of late. Kromah has major respect for Crawford.

“You want to feel wanted, to be realistic I wasn’t getting that energy before, but with coach Crawford, he’s blowing up my phone every day making sure that I know ‘I want you, you’re my back’,” Kromah said. “Even Kirby Smart was saying he told him that. If you’re going to stick your neck out there for me, I’m for sure going to have your back.”

Being wanted is a major piece of Kromah’s checklist. He hopes that whichever program he picks has high expectations of him because Kromah has them for himself as well.

“I’m not coming in to sit down, I’m coming in to shake the room,” Kromah said. “I don’t want to just be there. I want to play, make a name for myself and be that guy.”

Kromah has already made plans to make the trip to Atlanta to watch Georgia face Clemson in Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Aug. 31.

    Who is Georgia competing against?

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine currently favors Auburn. The Tigers have a 36.5 percent chance of landing the four-star running back.

The Tigers have been a hot team around Kromah as of late. He has sported Auburn gloves as of late.

Kromah is feeling the love on the plains. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze has been involved heavily in recruiting Kromah as has running back coach Derrick Nix.

“I love coach Nix, I love coach Freeze, they’re both genuine people,” Kromah said. “Coach Freeze texts me all the time. He’s a busy man. If he’s taking time out of his day to text me, it shows that he cares and I need to take that into account.”
