On July 30, 2022, Harold Strickland filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County against Home Depot USA, Inc., alleging negligence that resulted in severe injuries.
Jewish Food Festival at Nay Aug
The Jewish Discovery Center's annual Jewish Food Festival at Nay Aug Park continues through Wednesday. The festival is open from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Barbecue ribs and pulled brisket are available daily. Sample everything from falafel to potato knish. Before I continue with my column, I am reaching out to say congratulations to our editor of 20-plus years, Bob Baker, who has finally decided to put his pencil and pad down and walk away from his computer (formerly a typewriter) and retire from his invaluable career of bringing the news to the people of Wyoming County. I saw in-person how very dedicated Bob was. On deadline days his focus was incomparable, and he always got his stories out on time! I wish Bob a very happy, well-deserved retirement. I also welcome our new editor, Jessica Harker. I look forward to getting to know her as time goes on.
