Maryland Defenseman Joining Teammate and New NCAA Program This Fall. The '03 native of Framingham, MA chose the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) for his final season of junior hockey. His time this past year was split between Maryland and the Seahawks Hockey Club, and over the course of 39 total games, Kotkowski tallied seven assists to his credit.

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — Peoples Financial Services Corp. (PFIS) on Thursday reported net income of $3.3 million in its second quarter. The Scranton, Pennsylvania-based bank said it had earnings of 46 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, were 59 cents per share.

Weatherly Schwab School project moving forward
An $11.3 million project to convert the Schwab School in Weatherly into affordable housing is moving forward with the announcement of $2.2 million in state funding on Tuesday. Weatherly Mayor Paul Hadzick said a news conference to kick off the multimillion project was scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on the steps of the school, weather permitting.

Citizenship award
Weatherly Mayor Paul Hadzick presented three youngsters with Citizenship Certificates for their interest and concern in improvements and activities at Eurana Park this year. The young people showed up every day to watch the progress, and will receive, in addition to the certificates, an American flag pin and gift certificate for ice cream.
