Luzerne County man charged after deadly ATV crash
LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — A man faces several charges after a deadly ATV crash in Luzerne County. According to court paperwork, Richard Simon, 39, of Nanticoke, was driving along Alden Mountain Road in Newport Township on July 30, 2023, when he attempted to pass an ATV and struck it from behind.

Police: FedEx driver robbed in Wilkes-Barre

Rally for Russ fundraiser supports Canevari
The community turned out July 13 to support Russell Canevari at the Rally for Russ at VFW Post 5544 in Jessup. Canevari underwent a kidney transplant surgery on July 3. Jennifer Jackson, Canevari’s daughter, said everything was donated for the fundraiser, and the Valley View girls basketball team volunteered to serve the dinners.
