Man charged with fleeing police
Weatherly police charged a borough man with resisting arrest and fleeing after a traffic stop Friday. Michael J. Allen, 26, was jailed in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning in lieu of $20,000 bail. Allen was arraigned before District Judge Beth Dodson Saturday morning on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude officer, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, driving while license suspended or revoked, driving without a license, and numerous traffic violations.
