Farmland Lease and Management Workshop, Mahaska County
Mahaska County’s Farmland Lease and Management Workshop will be held on August 1. The Iowa State University Mahaska County Extension and Outreach office will host a meeting on Thursday August 1, beginning at 1:30 pm. with doors open at 12:30 pm. The location is at the Mahaska County Extension office located at 212 North I Street Oskaloosa. The meeting will last approximately 2 ½ hours and will be facilitated by Patrick Hatting, Farm Management Specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach.
BARNES CITY MAN ARRESTED AFTER EXECUTION OF WARRANT
BARNES CITY — A Barnes City man was arrested by authorities this weekend after the execution of a search warrant. On Tuesday, July 25, the Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the US Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. Information was provided to the Sheriff’s Office by an investigator from the ICAC that led to the Sheriff’s Office executing a search warrant in Barnes City.
