Proposed State College casino license holder accepts $4.6 billion buyout, merger offer
The corporation currently embroiled in a legal battle over the gaming license to operate a proposed casino in State College accepted a $4.6 billion buyout and merger Thursday. Bally’s Corp., in a press release, announced it accepted the offer from Standard General, a New York-based hedge fund owned by Bally’s chairman Soo Kim.

A new mural by artist and Centre County native Michael Pilato will soon adorn the exterior of the Waffle Shop in downtown Bellefonte. Pilato will install the mural celebrating several aspects of the borough's history beginning Aug. 2 during the Bellefonte Arts & Crafts Fair, according to an announcement from the Waffle Shop.
