East Hangs on for Doubleheader Sweep of Eights
Sioux Falls East would get two wins on Tuesday sweeping Pierre Post 8 at Hyde Stadium with a 5-1 and 5-4 wins for their tenth straight South Dakota win. East would get a two RBI double from Kooper Perry in the top of the second to take a 2-0 lead and added on in the third with a RBI single from Ryan Hirsch. The Eights would get its lone RBI from George Stalley, a sacrifice fly to make it 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, but an extra two insurance runs would score in the seventh delivered by Ethan Olson. Pierre had just three hits in the game and had just two base runners in the first four innings. Top Legion Baseball teams meet at Ronken Field for doubleheader
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -They were supposed to play 2 next to the Renner Steakhouse. But the doubleheader was moved to Ronken Field on the campus of Augustana between 2 of the top teams in South Dakota. Harrisburg Gold brought a 24-6 record to the diamond while the Renner Royals were 18-5 before Wednesday’s games.
