LENNOX, S.D. (KELO) — The final spot in the Class B legion state tournament was clinched Saturday as Elk Point-Jefferson rolled past Lennox 12-1.

A five-run first inning set the tone for the win-or-go-home game. Post 134’s pitching shined throughout the region tournament, and its pitching depth played a major factor in them reaching the state tournament for a second straight season.

“Our pitching has been so great all year, and it was all this week,” Elk Point-Jefferson head coach John Gale said. “We have five legit starters. So to be able to save Keaton for tonight when he’s really our number one, everybody stepped up.”
