    Lewes opens tournament with big win over Naamans

    In the opening game of the Majors Division LIttle League state championship Lewes LIttle League came away victorious with a big win over Naamans. Lewes defeated Naamans by mercy rule in four innings.

    Lewes scored one run in the second inning, four in the third and five in the fourth for a walk off 10-0 victory. Lewes scored ten runs on ten hits in the victory with Finn Gannon leading the way offensively and also got the win on the mound.

    Gannon collected three hits in three at bats, scoring two runs and knocking in two. He also pitched a 4 inning complete game allowing three hits while striking out two batters. Lucca Fazio added two hits to go along with five runs batted in.

    Conner Fitzpatrick, Patrick Wilson, and Trey Keatz each collected a hit for Naamans

    Lewes advances to play MOT Thursday night in the winners bracket with game time set for 7pm. Naamans heads to the losers bracket and will await the loser of tonight’s game.
