Funeral Arrangements For Sheriff John Plasse
Terre Haute, In. – The public will be able to pay their respects to Sheriff John Plasse during a public visitation on Monday at Hulman Center from noon to 2pm with public services following. Plasse passed away Wednesday morning after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Vigo County Commissioners have announced that county offices will close at 11:30 a.m. on Monday to allow employees to attend the visitation and funeral. The public can also pay their respects during a procession from Hulman Center to the burial site on Monday. The route of the procession will be announced later. The family has asked that the graveside service remain private. A Memorial to the sheriff is set up in front of the Vigo County Security Center.

Town Hall Meeting To Discuss Terre Town Water
Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun announced that a town hall meeting will be held Monday at 5:30 at Terre Town Elementary School to discuss the Terre Town Connect Project. The Project aims to connect Terre Town residents to Indiana American Water. Mayor Sakbun and representatives of Indiana American Warer will be at the meeting to provide details and to answer any questions from the public. To be able to connect to the Indiana American Water System, under Indiana law, the majority of Terre Town households must sign up for the service which will allow Indiana American Water to design and install water mains in the neighborhood at no upfront costs to homeowners.
