Middlebury man arrested for DUI, resisting arrest
MIDDLEBURY — A local man was arrested early Thursday morning after Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop and suspected him of driving under the influence. Andrew R. Malzac, 31, of Middlebury, was pulled over on Weybridge Street near College Street at 12:50 a.m. Troopers detected signs of impairment during their interaction with Malzac.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Leaders at Burton say cost was a major factor in the decision to pull out of a plan to move concert venue Higher Ground to Burlington. Higher Ground said Wednesday that Burton pulled the plug on the plan for the music venue to move from South Burlington to a building Burton owns in the city’s South End. The decision came after a yearslong legal battle with neighbors opposed to the project.
