Logan officials announce closure of local facilities, services on Independence Day | News
LOGAN – Officials here in Logan have announced modified schedules for Logan City services and facilities during the Independence Day holiday. “Residential garbage, recycling and green waste will not be collected as usual on Thursday, July 4,” according to statement issued by the Logan Public Works Department. “The city landfill will also closed to the public on that day.”
Google Fiber Reaches Agreement to Create Network in Hyde Park, Utah
Hyde Park is the latest community in Utah to agree to deployment of a Google Fiber network, according to the company. The Herald Journal reported that the Hyde Park City Council approved the agreement during a meeting on June 26. Google Fiber, which is branded as GFiber, will begin construction this year and connect its first customers next summer. A Google representative confirmed the agreement to Telecompetitor.

BLM Reminds Public About Current Restrictions Ahead of Holiday Weekend
SALT LAKE CITY — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) West Desert District is reminding the public about Stage 1 fire restrictions ahead of the Independence Day holiday and holiday weekend. These restrictions apply to BLM-managed lands within the counties of Box Elder, Cache, Morgan, Rich, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, Utah, Wasatch and Weber. Additionally, the WDD fire prevention order is still in effect.
