Pedestrian killed after being struck by vehicle on I-75

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a pedestrian has been killed after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 75.

The sheriff's office says that the crash happened just south of mile marker 29 in the southbound lane of the interstate. An investigation determined that 47-year-old James Zeo from Corbin entered the path of a Honda Odyssey that was driving south and was struck in an unlit area.

Zeo was pronounced dead at the scene by the Laurel County Coroner's Office. The driver of the Odyssey was not injured.
