1 dead after fatal bike collision in Scott County

The Scott County Coroner identifed 39-year-old Jonathan Hensley as the biker killed earlier on Ironworks Road.

According to Captain Jeremy Johnson, the biker, a male around 40 years of age, has died during the crash that took place at approximately 2 p.m.

The female driving the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation, Johnson said.

Both were heading east on Ironworks Road when the crash took place.

The roadway is shut down in the area of Ironworks Road and Grayson Way in Scott County following an injury collision.

According to a Facebook post by the Scott County Fire Department, the roadway will remain closed for a significant amount of time.

The agency encourages drivers to avoid the area to allow crews to work.
