UCF lands commitment from 3-star OL Andrew Stargel

Kentucky added another future piece of the Big Blue Wall on the Fourth of July when Trotwood (Ohio) Madison senior Jermiel Atkins became the third true tackle prospect to join Kentucky’s 2025 high school recruiting class. The Wildcats now have four offensive line prospects in the fold, but another target committed to another program during Thursday’s national holiday.

Roswell (Ga.) High offensive lineman Andrew Stargel is headed east to play in the Big 12. The three-star prospect committed to UCF giving Gus Malzahn 13 commits in the 2025 cycle.

The Knights got the first official visit from Andrew Stargel to begin official visit month. The interior offensive line prospect then took trips to Ohio State and NC State. Stargel canceled his official visit to Kentucky the weekend of June 21 after the Buckeyes started to generate some buzz in this recruitment. However, Ryan Day‘s program flipped Jake Cook from Louisville, and that could’ve taken away a spot for Stargel after the three-star prospect committed to completing all of his official visits.

Kentucky’s offensive line leaves the Fourth of July in good position, and all attention now turns to Louisville (Ky.) Male center Isaac “Spike” Sowells Jr. has a decision announcement locked in for this month, and Kentucky is a major contender along with NC State, South Carolina, and Miami. The recruiting work is not done, but the Wildcats have addressed some clear needs on the offensive line this cycle.
