    Overturned plane reported in Davidson County

    DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) –A plane overturned in Davidson County on Tuesday night.

    State troopers responded to the Fly High Lexington/Davidson County Executive Airport on Aviation Way.

    No injuries have been reported at this time. Only one person was in the plane, but their condition is currently unknown.

    The cause of the plane overturning is unknown at this time.

    The FAA released the following statement:

    “A single-engine Glasair III ran through a grassy area while taxiing and flipped over at Davidson County Executive Airport in Lexington, North Carolina, around 8:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, July 2. Only the pilot was on board. The FAA will investigate.”

    They expect to have a preliminary report in the coming days.
