The weather was the only thing that slowed down Lexington during the first day of the state 7-on-7 football tournament at Veterans Park. Lexington was the lone Brazos Valley team undefeated during pool play Thursday and was ahead 7-6 in the third and final game of Division III’s Pool E before a lightning delay and subsequent rainstorm ended the afternoon’s action and postponed action until Friday.
