Libby Legion B team plays in Badrock Invitational
The Libby Loggers Legion B team played last week in the inaugural Badrock Invitational at Glacier Bank Park.The 8-team, double-elimination tournament also featured the 406 Flyers from Billings, Federal Way from Seattle, Mission Valley Mariners, Kalispell Sluggers and Flathead As.According to the Daily Inter Lake, Libby lost 17-5 to the Badrock Baseball U15 squad.In one of four games played Thursday, Badrock prevailed thanks in large part to crooked numbers in the third and fifth innings. Badrock scored six times in the third, getting a two-run single from Luke Dalen.Libby scored all of its runs in the bottom of the third inning, with Mason Crowe hitting a 3-run triple to key the outburst. Brayson Orr had an RBI single in the inning as well.Libby played the Sluggers Saturday, but no score was available. The Glacier Twins A team picked up a doubleheader sweep over Libby at home on Tuesday, June 25, winning the first game 19-3 and then following that up with a 15-2 win.In the first matchup, Glacier scored 12 runs in the first inning, and the route was on. Trenton Derosa stuck out three Libby batters in three innings of work. At the plate, Jacon McIntyre hit a home run and finished the game with four RBI. The Bitterroot Bucs swept a doubleheader Libby Loggers American Legion baseball team Saturday at Lee Gehring Field.In the opener, the Loggers scored three runs in the second inning to take a 3-0 lead before the Bucs answered with five in the third for a 6-3 lead.
