MOST AREA SCHOOLS FALL BELOW STATE AVERAGE FOR ILEARN PROFICIENCY
(Whitewater Valley)--ILEARN results were released Wednesday by the Indiana’s Department of Education. Here’s how some of the area schools outside of Richmond fared. The statewide average of third through eighth graders who tested proficient in both math and English was 31%. Only a handful of area school corporations met or exceeded that mark. Union County, Randolph Southern, and Monroe Central were all slightly above the 31% mark. Northeastern and Centerville barely missed that mark at 30%. All other area schools were between 20 and 30% proficiency with the exception of Randolph Eastern which was, by far, the lowest-performing school at ten percent proficiency.
