Out of fuel and out of options, airplane lands on I-90 near Rtizville
RITZVILLE - Out of fuel and out of options, a small-engine plane landed on Interstate 90 near Ritzville on Sunday. Washington State Troopers say the plane landed on I-90 at around 6:30 p.m. about two miles east of Ritzville. Authorities weren't able to confirm if the plane had landed in the westbound or eastbound lanes, but it was noted that the vessel was on the road for roughly ten minutes before a crew from the Ritzville Municipal Airport arrived to refuel the aircraft. The plane took off within 15 minutes of landing, according to State Patrol. The plane reportedly landed at the Ritzville Municipal Airport after departing the makeshift runway of I-90. No one was hurt.
