A Liberty woman was arrested and charged with arson after setting her apartment on fire, authorities said. Davina Holden, 56, was arrested following an investigation into a fire at the Liberty Commons Apartment Complex on July 16. Police officers responding to the fire found visible smoke billowing from the apartment. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and confirmed the apartment was empty. An investigation by the Village of Liberty Police Department and the Sullivan County Bureau of Fire Arson Investigators determined Holden intentionally set the fire using an accelerant and a lighter.
