Family Dollar/Dollar Tree shows customers their appreciation

Stephanie Fike, Customer Service Representative Jenn Belfiore and Store Manager Teresa Countryman (among others) had a busy day Saturday at the Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Customer Appreciation Day. Face painting, grilled hot dogs, Icees and popcorn were free to customers, and drawings were held for 60 prizes, including $1,000,000 (candy bar, that is)! An Independence Day photo background was also set up in the store. A special treat for all was the artwork by Belfiore, shown in the center of the photo, which was on display throughout the day.
Annual Meeting of the Members of IECA
The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Membership of Intercounty Electric Cooperative was held Friday, June 28, at the Licking Old City Park. The event began at 8 a.m. with a health fair and/or breakfast, served by the Raymondville Volunteer Fire Department. Vendors were set up at the craft fair for those early attendees, and the Kids Tent and Intercounty Tent were also open and ready to greet members and their families.
Quilt and birdhouse donations for a worthy cause
Beautiful quilts made by the ladies of Boone Creek Baptist Church and the Friendly Quilters at First Baptist Church in Licking, and some artistically decorated birdhouses will be donated to the annual Ozarks Berry Festival Auction. The auction is to be held at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo., on Saturday, July 20, and the items will be available for bidding at that time.
Boone Creek VBS at Breaker Rock Beach
Photo by Shari Harris Boone Creek Baptist Church hosted Vacation Bible School last week. Attendance between students and around two dozen adults went as high as 150 during the week-long excursion on “Breaker Rock Beach.” Students were challenged to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2). Lessons encouraged them to discover that God’s truth never changes and that everyone needs Jesus. They learned to speak the truth about Jesus in love. Food, friendship and fellowship were enjoyed throughout the week.
