A man and woman from Licking each face felony charges after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of an incident involving a gun at their home on Tuesday, June 18.

Jamie A. Bolden, 40, of 13821 Highway C in Licking, is charged with unlawful use of a weapon – exhibiting and unlawful possession of a firearm, and Tarc N. Willard, 40, same address, is charged with unlawful use of a weapon – exhibiting.

A deputy responded to the pair’s residence regarding a report of a domestic disturbance between them. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Willard who said she and Bolden had shared multiple disturbances within the previous 24 hours. Willard also reportedly said that the night before Bolden had accused her of stealing his billfold.

The altercation escalated until Willard gained possession of a Remington .22 caliber rifle and fired a round toward Bolden. The parties reportedly separated until the following morning, when another argument about the billfold ensued.

This time, Willard accused Bolden of taking a Taurus 9 millimeter pistol. Bolden reportedly left the residence and returned shortly after, brandishing the pistol.

An argument ensued over the gun until Bolden fired a round toward Willard’s feet, causing shrapnel to strike her right leg, resulting in multiple lacerations. Bolden then unloaded the firearm, placing the rounds in his pockets and threw the gun into the yard.

Bolden then reportedly left the residence in Willard’s blue Chevrolet Trailblazer. The deputy reported observing Bolden operating the vehicle when he returned to the residence, and was informed that Bolden had a suspended driving status.

When searched at Texas County Jail, multiple rounds were located in Bolden’s back left pant pocket.

Cash-only bonds in the case are set at $5,000 for Bolden and $1,500 for Willard.
