WVB: Lackawanna To Host PSU Hazleton and Cecil In Tri-Match
SCRANTON, Pa. – A week after starting 2024 with a victory, Lackawanna College will look to get back into the swing of things with a pair of matches against PSU Hazleton and Cecil College in tri-match action on Saturday, August 31st, inside the historic Lackawanna College Student Union gymnasium. The event gets underway at 10:00am ET, when the Falcons take on PSU Hazleton. Then, the Nittany Lions and Cecil College will compete at 12:00pm ET. Finally, the Falcons and the Eagles will face off at 2:00pm ET to close out proceedings. There will be PPV livestreams available for all three matches via the Lackawanna College Athletics Network via lackawannafalcons.com/LIVE.

Despite some confusion that was created this weekend, WWE WrestleMania won’t be returning to Philadelphia in 2026. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro created that confusion when, in a social media Q&A video, he listed WrestleMania among the events Philadelphia would be hosting in 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States. The video has since been deleted, and a spokesperson for the governor issued a statement clarifying that WrestleMania 42 will not be held in Pennsylvania.
Men's Cross Country Grabs Second at Father Bede Invitational
TYRONE, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's cross country team opened the 2024 season with a second-place finish at the Father Bede Invitational. Bucknell used a mixture of freshmen and sophomores, thus establishing the meet as a chance to accelerate their training for the upcoming campaign. The course at B&D Acres was 6k in length.

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The strong start for Bucknell men's soccer continued with a resounding 2-0 victory over the visiting Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers on Saturday at Emmitt Field at Holmes Stadium. The Bison (2-0) tallied a goal in each half and had 20 shots overall to keep the fellow US Route 15 school on the backend. Bloomsburg, Pa. — The Bloomsburg Children's Museum's fourth "Battle in the Burg" robot fighting brought out a big crowd and standout performances from Bloomsburg students. This year's tournament outgrew the museum's capacity, moving to the Bloomsburg YMCA to accommodate the 45 competing robot teams and 230 spectators.
