Girl's flag football programs are booming
The Atlanta Falcons and the Arthur M. Blank Foundation have made it a goal to elevate girl's flag football in Georgia and across the nation, and that hard work is paying off. The Falcons' Amanda Dinkel and flag football player Alexandria Lofton sat down with Alyse Eady to talk about the program.

More rain and a few storms are likely later this evening out a head of a cold front that will move through this weekend. Giants' Casey Schmitt: Snaps slump Thursday
Schmitt went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 6-0 win against Atlanta. Schmitt increased San Francisco's lead from 2-0 to 4-0 with his two-run blast in the sixth inning. He finished the game with three hits -- as many as he had tallied over his previous 12 games and 31 at-bats combined. Schmitt's five homers through 80 plate appearances this year are as many as he hit over 277 plate appearances in 2023, but he's also carrying a poor .208/.225/.442 slash line on the season.
Attorneys, family of US airman killed by Florida deputy to hold news conference to demand charges in case
FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — The family of an Atlanta Air Force airman killed by a sheriff's deputy in Florida is planning on holding a news conference Friday morning to push for more to be done in the case. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump is also expected to be in attendance.

Woman found dead in Cumberland River
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Georgia woman drowned on Thursday and her body was recovered from the Cumberland River roughly ten miles west of Nashville. The Metro Nashville Police Department said a 59-year-old woman was seen walking on the University School of Nashville’s River Campus Wednesday evening, and staff began looking for her when her vehicle was still parked in the same location Thursday morning.
