Population 3,179 (U.S. Census 1960 and 1970) The City Council has decided to have “an expert in the field of sanitation” review the “entire program” proposed for taking care of the city’s sewage disposal proposal to make sure the proposed location of a new sewage treatment plant “is in the city’s best interests” and ensure the city “will not come up short” on its application for federal and state funds to help build the facilities.
Garbage collection change coming next week
Beginning next week, some people in Folsom will experience a change in when their garbage is collected. Beginning the week of July 22nd, the City of Folsom Waste and Recycling Division is beginning new collection routes and times. The plan is to be more efficient in the way the collection process is done.
