One injured after trees fall on Town of Bradley cabin during severe weather
TOWN OF BRADLEY – One person was injured after trees fell on a cabin in the Town of Bradley during severe weather last week. According to release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, June 25, at 1:20 a.m., the Lincoln County 911 Center received a call reported that a cabin had been destroyed by trees falling on it during severe weather.
LCHD: Watch out for blue-green algae, swimmer’s itch this summer
LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department (LCHD) is reminding the public to watch out for blue-green algae and swimmer’s itch this summer. “Summer is here, and that means more time to enjoy our area’s beautiful waterways,” LCHD stated in a release. “Although warmer temperatures and sunshine are welcomed, this weather creates the perfect conditions for algal blooms to develop, some of which can be harmful to humans and pets when swallowed, touched or inhaled.”

Counties examine potential hiking trail between Wausau and Merrill
Marathon and Lincoln Counties are working together to develop a new recreational trail between Wausau and Merrill, a plan that is still in the early stages. The approximately 25-mile trail along the Wisconsin River could become part of Segment 18 of the state’s Trails Network Plan, developed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Stretching from Tomahawk to Wisconsin Dells, the trail runs through other counties and intersperses with other trails. Wausau and Marathon County Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department and Lincoln County Forestry, Land and Parks Department officials are responsible for the recreational trail path that connects them.
