A defensive end from Kansas has scheduled a visit with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hunter Higgins will visit the Lincoln campus on July 27.

His visit will come just days after his July 25 visit to the Oklahoma Sooners . The three-star prospect plays for Maize South High School in Wichita, Kansas.

National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming had high praise for Higgins last December. He wrote,

(Higgins) should be become a national recruit. Excellent length, quick hands and feet and shows explosive moves to the ball. Tenacious and tough. Terrific attitude. 3.9 GPA.

The recruit has been a popular player recently. In 2024, he received ten scholarship offers, including from Michigan , USC , and Ole Miss.
