Forget being 'Like Mike': Nebraska Cornhuskers QB Dylan Raiola showed up to camp sharing shocking similarities to Patrick Mahomes

Back in the 1980s and 1990s, being "Like Mike" meant having a single hoop earring, bald head, and being the best basketballer the world had ever seen to that point. In 2024, the tables turned as the nation's top freshman quarterback showed up to training camp looking like Patrick Mahomes.

Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola was photographed walking onto the program's campus with a dad bod, ski-like sunglasses, broccoli hair, and a couple of chains. Every comment was the same, that Raiola looked awfully similar to Mahomes.

As if the initial reactions weren't enough, one user shared a 90-second clip of Raiola's spring game performance. Sure enough, everything from Raiola's build, arm throwing angles, number (No. 15), pocket movement, and footwork resembles Mahomes. It's as if Raiola specifically studied his mannerisms and only repeats them.

All eyes will be on the freshman phenom to see how he can impact Matt Rhule's Cornhuskers in 2024. If he's anything like Mahomes, the team might be watchable and fun after a decade-plus of misery.
