Test calling ISIS terrorists sparks trouble for NJ school superintendent
WAYNE — Parents are holding a school superintendent's feet to the fire after he apologized for a test question that called ISIS an Islamic terror group. The multiple choice question was part of a quiz in a seventh-grade class at Schuyler-Colfax Middle School in Wayne, according to the group Teaching While Muslim.

Morristown, NJ – Over 290,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 27 Morristown High School seniors to support their academic pursuits, announced the Morris Educational Foundation (MEF). The MEF, a non-profit organization enhancing excellence in education in the Morris School District for over 31 years, honored the deserving students during the high school’s scholarship award night on June 11. Enrollment Holding Steady for Chatham Schools; Tomaino Resigns as Chatham High Security Coordinator After 11 Years
CHATHAM, NJ -- Chatham's enrollment is holding steady at 3,525 students heading into the upcoming 2024-2025 school year as reported by Mary Donohue, assistant superintendent, at the July 15 regular meeting of the Chatham Board of Education. NJCU & Essex Community College presidents sign express transfer program MOU
The presidents from New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Essex Community College signed an express transfer program memorandum of understanding (MOU) yesterday. Under the terms of the articulation agreement, which is effective September 1st, 2024 for a period of at least five years, Essex County College students in good academic standing who have earned an Associate of Arts or Science degree at Essex, will be granted joint admission into NJCU with junior academic status, in the same or similar academic program.
